Laramie (pop. 29,000) is ideal for touring the American West, where cowboys still herd cattle over the plains and the endless sunny sky stretches over the 3600 m peaks. You will experience spectacular wilderness areas, historic sites, national parks, & Western hospitality. Laramie is known for excellent mountain/road cycling, hiking, fishing, & rock climbing. We are a friendly and relaxed town. We were recently named a "Playful City USA." Laramie is a college town and has lots of fun things to do. During the summer, there are festivals, live music, and parades. You may also use our home as a base from which to explore the surrounding towns, sights, and national parks. We can exchange an SUV (seats 7), or fuel efficient car, & perhaps our pop-up camping caravan trailer. Please use our camping equipment and bicycles.

Our home is within close walking distance of the University and its culture, arts, and sports. The home has an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings, fireplace, garage, living room, & playroom. The master bedroom has shower/WC ensuite. We have children's supplies & entertainment. There is a patio and vegetable garden. Use our bikes and camping gear. Public tennis is across the street. An indoor/outdoor pool with waterslides & golf course is less than 2 miles away.
How do you get there?
Laramie is ideally situated near I80, an interstate highway with a 120 KPH (75 MPH) speed limit that makes travel to other destinations easy. Reach Cheyenne in under an hour and Denver, CO in 2 hours. Rocky Mountain National Park can be visited as a day trip. Our home makes a great home base for weekend trips to: Yellowstone/Grand Teton NPs, the Black Hills (Mt. Rushmore), Colorado National Monument, Dinosaur National Park, Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. And that is just the beginning. We are happy to show you the best places to go and provide maps!
